No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu in Sunny Isles Beach
Learn how Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu works without traditional uniform grips. Explore the fundamentals, practical training questions and the available adult programs at Winners.
Same foundations. Different grips.
Traditional Gi Jiu-Jitsu uses a reinforced jacket and pants that can be gripped in many techniques. No-Gi removes those fabric grips. Instead, students learn to control distance, position and movement through direct body contact.
The core ideas remain familiar. Students work on positioning, escaping difficult situations, maintaining balance and recognizing safe ways to train with a partner.
Without the friction of a gi jacket, some exchanges feel faster. That does not make one version better than the other. Both reward attention to detail and consistent practice.

Who might enjoy No-Gi?
Beginners who are curious
Your first goal is not to win rounds. It is to learn how the class works, recognize basic positions and become comfortable asking questions.
Students building experience
A student with Gi experience may find No-Gi useful for understanding body control when sleeves and collars are unavailable.
Adults with different goals
Some students enjoy the technical challenge and regular activity. Others like to test their skills. Competition is a personal choice, not the only reason to train.
What to expect in class
Class time may include movement practice, a technique demonstration, partner drills and supervised grappling appropriate to the group. The instructor sets the pace, explains safety and answers questions.
Wear clean, safe training clothing and remove jewelry. Ask the staff about their specific No-Gi dress code and whether the class that interests you is suitable for beginners.
You can check the weekly class schedule before contacting us. If you would like a broader introduction to both styles, read our Gi vs No-Gi guide.
All classes take place at the Winners academy in 17100 Collins Ave, Suite 201, Sunny Isles Beach, FL 33160. We are not claiming separate locations in neighboring cities.
