Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art whose central theme is the skill of controlling a resisting opponent in ways that force him to submit. It is a sophisticated martial art that focuses on proper technique, leverage, grip and stance. It is often said that if you are physically small or bodily petite, but have mastered BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), then you can fight a person double your size. BJJ is based on the technique that immobilizes the opponent. It teaches joint locks, chokeholds, and the art to beat an opponent having more physical prowess.

Can a Jiu-Jitsu student learn more and learn faster? Is it beneficial to have one-on-one time with my instructor?

Jiu-Jitsu is like any other sport or activity: your progress is a consequence of how hard and how smart you work. Group classes are the best proven way to teach Jiu-Jitsu, since the diversity of training partners creates more and different challenges allowing a student to improve more quickly. However, private classes are definitely an essential complement that no serious Jiu-Jitsu student should do without. The individual attention and approach that a 30 or 60-minute session with one of our instructors provides can and does lead to significant improvement in a student’s Jiu-Jitsu game flow. It is highly recommended that all students take at least one private lesson per month to review techniques and address specific challenges in his or her Jiu-Jitsu game flow.

INTERMEDIATE

Learning is done progressively and shapes the student. After developing a solid Jiu-Jitsu foundation during the beginner’s module, he starts to understand the dynamics of fighting, and will be prepared for the advanced module.

Our Intermediate Jiu-Jitsu class assumes that you understand a good portion of the basics taught in the Fundamentals. We emphasize on these basics while starting to introduce more complex techniques. Then after the techniques, the students will spar to build endurance, and apply the techniques to real-life situations

ADVANCED

Learn how to combine multiple combinations of moves and positions. High level techniques, learn how to apply them successfully

Transitions from one technique to another, speed and reaction time are explored in this lesson program.
Winners provides an environment of friendship and companionship, and is without a doubt the biggest and best feature of this phase, real friends made on the mat with a lot of sweat and laughter, you’ll win a second family with us!
To get to the advanced level, always listen to your master. Learn with him how to master the techniques and correct movement of the blows.

Our advanced class is our longest class at 1.5 hours long and it assumes that you are proficient with the fundamentals of Jiu-Jitsu. The techniques taught here complex, and we devote a large portion of this class time to sparring. Even if you are already a higher belt, the best way to elevate your game is to attend one of our Advanced Jiu-Jitsu classes. We have world class athletes that train here on a daily basis, and we have a world-renowned Grandmaster guiding us in the right path. You must have, at minimum, a Blue Belt to go to the Advanced Jiu-Jitsu class.
